Sarah Starcovic recently helped inspire local children through a hands-on science outreach event at the Morgantown Public Library. As part of the “Talk to a Scientist” series organized by the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, the event introduced kids to the science behind how the body moves, breathes, and pumps blood through interactive demonstrations.
The program highlighted the importance of making
science accessible and engaging for the community while encouraging young students to explore STEM fields in a fun and welcoming environment. Through outreach efforts like these, Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine trainees are helping inspire the next generation of scientists in West Virginia.
